The balance of the franchise fee is to be paid once the real estate is secured for the restaurant opening.

Single Restaurant Agreements: In some of the markets where Checkers has established a significant restaurant presence, we’re looking to simply ”fill“ a few gaps in the trade area with a single restaurant. We have designated these markets as Mature Markets.

These opportunities are limited and availability within a given market is subject to change. To build a single restaurant, a newly approved franchisee must submit a site to our Development Committee for review prior to proceeding. The Development Committee will then review the proposed site for our site criteria and ensure that it does not infringe on an existing restaurant’s trade area.

Veteran\'s Program: Checkers is committed to showing our appreciation for our active duty troops and recognizing the significant contributions of U.S. Veterans. Checkers is a proud corporate sponsor of America Supports You and Operation Gratitude, charitable programs that enable us to show our support for our men and women in uniform who are deployed overseas.

We’re also proud to be a member of the International Franchise Association and active participants in their VetFran program. Under VetFran, Checkers is committed to providing qualified Veterans with various incentives to become a franchisee. For example, Checkers reduces the Initial Franchisee Fee for qualified Veterans acquiring a development agreement.

To qualify for this program, a Veteran interested in becoming a franchisee must provide documentation reflecting that he/she left the military under honorable conditions and must meet all of our other franchising qualifications.

");
